 The Garden Island of Kauai has a number of geographic wonders, such as
the nearby Wailua River, Fern Grotto, and Lydgate Park. Wailua Falls is
an 80-foot waterfall that you can see from the side of the road. If you
want to see the sun shining on the falls, you should go early in the
morning. The Alakai Wilderness Preserve, a wet forest that includes
alpine bogs, is located near Mount Waialeale, which is considered by
some sources to be the rainiest place in the world.
The Alakai Swamp trail is 3.5 miles long, and is often cloud-covered in
case you’ve ever wanted to walk through clouds.
